The Band

  • “They sound GREAT! Very enjoyable evening of music! Very, very sing-alongable. “

    B.B.S.
  • “Great concert in Ocean City Aug. 18! I came of age in the ’60s and ’70s, but have grown tired of oldies bands for the most part. However, these guys played music from that era with an edge…Hendrix, “Ohio” by CSN&Y, The Who, Spirit (!), Jefferson Airplane, Janis, and only one Beach Boys song! “

    T.H.
  • “I heard them for the first time, last night, at the Harrington casino, in Delaware, and they were great! I was born in ’66, but I was raised on this music, and 50’s rock n’ roll. I wish they would’ve performed the entire time. “

    D.M.C.S.
  • “Just want to thank you guys for a fabulous concert at the Rio on Saturday. We’ve seen you a couple of times at smaller venues, but you really knocked us over in the larger venue. “

    E.L.
  • “First time we heard them was in Ocean City at Sunfest. They blew us away. They sing songs no other bands are doing from Beatles to Woodstock. We have followed them ever since. You need to check them out. A must see. “

    R.L.I.
  • “Loved hearing/ seeing y’all at Herndon Festival! “

    C.M.
  • “. . . I love the Janglebachs and the way they perform the music I grew up with, with such care, reverence and obvious love. Every time I hear them I am transported back to the happiest times of my life!!! “

    Jane Dunie
  • “Thanks for posting all these. You guys sound great and you have a fantastic play list! Your versions were as enjoyable as the originals. Well done! “

  • “Wonderful guys! You are true rockers and survivors of a MAGICAL AGE! I really love this performance ! Keep on rockin´! “

    Anon
  • “Gotta admire a band that tackles “Pretty Ballerina” and actually manages to play it the way the late/great Michael Brown wrote it. Enjoyed this medley a lot! “

    Anon
  • “You guys are damned good. That era is fading fast, even for those of us that were there but you helped me relive those great times- that is the highest compliment that I can give.”

    Anon
  • “Wow! A band doing this song! This is amazing—you guys truly bring back the spirit of the 60s. This is the stuff I grew up with.”

    Anon
  • “If there’s a heaven, this is what it sounds like”

THE STORY

In 1965, two junior high school friends decided to start a rock ‘n roll band. They did, and it wasn’t too bad.  In fact, it was good enough to have inspired another crop of young, would-be, local musicians to take heart and start their own bands.  No, they didn’t get all of the chords right but the music was so completely groovy that . . . well, you get it.

Our story picks up nearly 50 years later, as reported by the daughter of the manager of that band….
